Standing for Good
Support the cause of Allah, and He supports you — steadying your very footsteps.
Qur'anic Reference · Muhammad 47:7
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِن تَنصُرُوا اللَّهَ يَنصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ
English Translation
“O you who believe! If you support the cause of Allah, He will support you and make your foothold firm.”
Bengali Translation
“হে ঈমানদারগণ! তোমরা যদি আল্লাহর দ্বীনের সাহায্য করো, তিনি তোমাদের সাহায্য করবেন এবং তোমাদের পা সুদৃঢ় করে দেবেন।”
The moral, reflection, and application sections below are educational guidance inspired by the cited verse — they are not a translation or an authoritative tafsir.
Primary Moral
Put your strength behind what Allah loves, and divine strength is put behind you.
Why This Matters
Most people wait to feel strong before standing for something; the ayah reverses the order — stand first, and firmness is granted. Good causes rarely lack sympathisers; they lack people who show up.
Reflection
Allah needs no helper — the invitation to 'support' Him is an honour extended to us, a chance to matter. And the reward is precise: not wealth or ease, but a firm foothold — the inner steadiness that keeps a person upright when the work gets hard. Those who serve the truth find the truth serving their resolve.
Real-Life Application
Choose one good cause in your reach — a masjid class, an orphan fund, a neighbourhood cleanup — and move from approving of it to carrying part of it. Give it a fixed slot in your week, not just leftover time.
Reflection Question
Which cause do you praise in words but have never yet given an hour of your hands?
Action for Today
Commit one concrete hour this week to a good cause — put it in your calendar now.
