Never Lose Hope
Ya'qub, grieving two sons, still forbids despair — giving up on Allah's mercy is the one loss a believer never accepts.
Qur'anic Reference · Yusuf 12:87
English Translation
“And do not despair of the mercy of Allah; indeed, none despairs of Allah's mercy except the disbelieving people.”
Bengali Translation
“আর আল্লাহর রহমত থেকে নিরাশ হয়ো না; নিশ্চয়ই অবিশ্বাসী সম্প্রদায় ছাড়া কেউ আল্লাহর রহমত থেকে নিরাশ হয় না।”
The moral, reflection, and application sections below are educational guidance inspired by the cited verse — they are not a translation or an authoritative tafsir.
Primary Moral
However dark the chapter, never close the book on Allah's mercy.
Why This Matters
Despair is not just an emotion; it is a verdict that the future is fixed — a verdict no human has the knowledge to give. Hope keeps people praying, repairing, and trying, and Surah Yusuf proves it: the story despair would have abandoned ends in reunion.
Reflection
These words come from a father who has lost Yusuf for decades and now Binyamin too — and still he sends his sons to search. Hope in the Qur'an is not naive optimism; it is theological realism: Allah's mercy and Allah's plan are always larger than the visible facts.
Real-Life Application
Name the situation you have quietly labelled 'hopeless' — a relationship, an application, a habit, a person. Take one small step on it this week as an act of faith, and pair the step with du'a.
Reflection Question
If you truly believed relief could arrive this year, what would you start doing differently this week?
Action for Today
Make one specific du'a today for the thing you had stopped asking for.
