يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِكُمْ وَأَوْلَادِكُمْ عَدُوًّا لَّكُمْ فَاحْذَرُوهُمْ ۚ وَإِن تَعْفُوا وَتَصْفَحُوا وَتَغْفِرُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
“O you who believe! Indeed, among your spouses and your children are enemies to you, so beware of them. But if you pardon, overlook, and forgive — then indeed, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.”
“হে ঈমানদারগণ! তোমাদের স্ত্রী ও সন্তানদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ তোমাদের শত্রু, তাই তাদের ব্যাপারে সতর্ক থাকো। আর যদি তোমরা মাফ করো, উপেক্ষা করো ও ক্ষমা করো — তবে নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, পরম দয়ালু।”

The 'enmity' here is rarely hatred — it is when loved ones' demands pull against Allah's path, or when closeness gives their words unmatched power to hurt.
