Seek the Hereafter with what Allah gave you — without forgetting your share of this world. The Qur'an refuses to choose between them.
وَابْتَغِ فِيمَا آتَاكَ اللَّهُ الدَّارَ الْآخِرَةَ ۖ وَلَا تَنسَ نَصِيبَكَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَأَحْسِن كَمَا أَحْسَنَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ ۖ وَلَا تَبْغِ الْفَسَادَ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُفْسِدِينَ
“Seek, with what Allah has given you, the home of the Hereafter — and do not forget your share of this world. Do good as Allah has done good to you, and do not seek corruption in the land. Indeed, Allah does not love the corrupters.”
“আল্লাহ তোমাকে যা দিয়েছেন তা দিয়ে আখিরাতের আবাস অনুসন্ধান করো — আর দুনিয়া থেকে তোমার অংশ ভুলে যেয়ো না। আল্লাহ যেমন তোমার প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করেছেন, তুমিও তেমনি অনুগ্রহ করো, এবং পৃথিবীতে বিপর্যয় ঘটাতে চেয়ো না। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ বিপর্যয়কারীদের ভালোবাসেন না।”

Aim your wealth and energy at the Hereafter while living this life fully and gratefully.
Two errors waste lives: drowning in the world until the Hereafter fades, and renouncing the world until duty is neglected. This ayah — addressed to the fabulously wealthy Qarun — draws the straight line between them.
Notice the proportions: the Hereafter is the destination to seek; the world is a share not to forget. One is the project, the other the provision. And the verse ends socially — do good, spread no corruption — because a balanced heart shows itself in how wealth treats other people.
Review this month's spending and hours: what percentage served anything beyond this life? Redirect one recurring expense or one weekly hour toward sadaqah, learning, or family duty — without abandoning rest and lawful enjoyment.
